文件、垂直对齐和水平对齐都是必需的。

必须提供全部三项信息，否则操作失败。文件包含…… PDF 从触发器中获取二进制数据；垂直对齐方式将数字定位在页面高度方向（上/中/下）；水平对齐方式将数字定位在页面宽度方向（左/中/右）。测试前请先映射这三项。

常见问题解答

Which parameters are required for the Add Page Number to PDF action?+

Three parameters are required: File (the PDF binary from a trigger or previous step), Vertical Alignment (Top, Middle, or Bottom), and Horizontal Alignment (Left, Center, or Right). All other parameters are optional and fall back to defaults when omitted.

Does Skip First Page change the numbering sequence?+

Yes. When Skip First Page is true, page 1 (your cover or title page) is left unnumbered. The number that appears on page 2 is "2" - not "1" - because the action counts from the absolute page position in the document. This matches standard publishing and legal document conventions.

How do horizontal and vertical margins work?+

Horizontal Margin (mm) sets the gap from the nearest horizontal edge - left edge when alignment is Left, right edge when Right. It is ignored when alignment is Center. Vertical Margin sets the gap from the top or bottom edge and is ignored when alignment is Middle. Both default to 0 if not set.

What Page Number Format options are available?+

The action supports standard numeric (1, 2, 3…), Roman numerals (i, ii, iii…), and compound formats such as "Page 1 of N". Check the Zapier action field dropdown for the complete list. The default is standard numeric if no format is specified.

Can I use this action on password-protected PDFs?+

No - PDF4me cannot modify encrypted or password-protected PDFs. Remove the password before passing the file to this action. Use a PDF unlock step or Zapier's file manipulation tools to decrypt the document first if your workflow involves protected files.
