Prerequisites

Before installing PDF4me for Microsoft Teams, ensure you have:

  • Microsoft Teams Admin Access: Administrative permissions in Microsoft Teams admin center

Set Up PDF4me App in Your Tenant

Step 1: Access Microsoft Teams Admin Center

  1. Log in to the Microsoft Teams admin center with your administrative credentials
  2. Navigate to the admin portal using your organization's admin account

Step 2: Manage Teams Apps

  1. From the left menu, select Teams appsManage apps
  2. The Manage apps section displays all available Teams applications

Step 3: Find PDF4me

  1. In the search bar, type PDF4me and press Enter
  2. From the search results, select PDF4me from the list of available apps
  1. On the PDF4me app page, locate the Required permissions section
  2. Select Grant admin consent to review the required permissions for the app
  3. Review the permissions and information that PDF4me will access in Teams

  1. In the Permissions requested dialog box that appears, review the permissions
  2. Select Accept to grant admin consent for PDF4me

Install PDF4me for All Users

After granting admin consent, configure PDF4me to be available to users in your organization:

Step 1: Access Setup Policies

  1. In the Microsoft Teams admin center, go to Teams appsSetup policies
  2. You'll see the App setup policies configuration page

Step 2: Select Organization-Wide Policy

  1. Under Manage Policies, select Global (Org-wide default)
    • This applies the configuration to all users in your organization by default

:::note Custom Group Policies To provide PDF4me access to specific groups only, select the Group policy assignment tab and add new groups. You can also create custom app permission policies to allow PDF4me for particular users or groups as needed. :::

Step 3: Add PDF4me to Installed Apps

  1. In the Installed apps section, select Add apps
  2. A panel opens on the right side showing available apps
  3. In the search field, type PDF4me
  4. From the search results, hover over PDF4me and select Select
  5. The PDF4me app appears in the selected apps list
  6. Select Add to confirm

:::tip App Selection When you select Add apps for the Global (Org-wide default) policy, the Add apps panel opens where you can search for and add any installed app to make it available to users. :::

Step 4: Save Configuration

  1. Review your configuration to ensure PDF4me is listed in the Installed apps section
  2. Select Save to apply the changes
  3. The PDF4me app is now configured within Microsoft Teams

  3. Once implemented, all PDF files shared in:

    • Chats
